Arguably the most attractive element of building a product is the ‘set it and forget it’ nature of running it. It doesn’t exactly work like that, but that is the appeal – a product can scale seemingly indefinitely.
The problem here is this allure causes people trying to build product businesses to think that they shouldn’t be talking with customers. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Even if you have done discovery by interviewing a ton of target market customers and captured the data you used to successfully bring your product to market with a strong value proposition, there is always more to learn.
Keep in mind that both your product AND the market are dynamic concepts. Meaning, they are both ever changing. This is why reaching product-market fit is so challenging.
So keep meeting with people one on one because you never know what you might learn that could change everything about your business.
